Professional Biography:
Beverly Elliott is the director of the Arkansas Leadership Academy and an Associate Professor of Educational Leadership at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Dr. Elliott was a secondary mathematics teacher, counselor, assistant superintendent, superintendent, and assistant to the Director of Education for the state of Arkansas.
The Arkansas Leadership Academy is a statewide collaboration of 43 partners including 13 universities, 15 educational cooperatives, 10 professional organizations, 4 governmental agencies, and 2 business and industry. The synergy created among the partners builds the expertise and capacity for Arkansas to become a state that is a true community of learners. The Arkansas Leadership Academy is designed to support reform in the Arkansas education system. The Academy is funded and supported by the Arkansas legislature and through the Arkansas Department of Education.
