Professional Biography:
Katie received an AA in Interpreting in 1986 and is currently pursuing a BA in the same field with a minor in Sociology. She holds a National Association of Deaf (NAD) Level 5 for interpreting. In addition to membership in NAD, she is a member if the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID), the Arkansas Registry for Interpreters for the Deaf (ARID) and the Arkansas Association of the Deaf (AAD) where she served as Secretary for 8 years.
In 1997 and in 2003, she received the Meritorious Service Award from the AAD.
