John Murry has authored or co-authored over 30 publications and made in excess of 50 presentations and/or conducted workshops at national, regional and state conferences in his academic areas of interest. Dr. Murry is the co-author of a book entitled New faculty: A practical guide for academic beginners, published by St. Martin’s Press. He regularly conducts workshops for colleges, universities and school districts focusing on training faculty and academic administrators about legal issues they face in their role as educators. Dr. Murry has also been a principal investigator or co-principal investigator in four funded external grants totaling approximately $700,000.
John Murry is married to Kathy M. Murry, an Assistant High School principal in the Bentonville School District. He has four children, including twin daughters. His youngest daughter and son are currently students at the University of Arkansas. Dr. Murry is also the proud grandfather of two grandchildren.
