Professional Development Opportunity Offered To Counselors
The Chi Sigma Iota, Rho Alpha Beta chapter will present a professional development opportunity for counselors, rehabilitation counselors, mental health professionals, long-term care providers, supervisors and supervisees at 10 a.m. May 6 in the Graduate Education building on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville. Chi Sigma Iota is an international counseling honor society.
Dr. Rebecca Newgent will discuss the revised code of ethics published last year by the American Counseling Association, and Dr. Daniel Kissinger will discuss the influence of the supervisee’s family environment on the supervisory working alliance. Both are on the counselor education faculty of the department of educational leadership, foundations and counseling in the College of Education and Health Professions.
Two continuing education units are available for $10. Participants may pay at the door of Room 166 in the Graduate Education building.
