Communication Disorders student tests hearing of UA student

Lac'e Sanderson, left, a first-year master's student in the communication disorders program, tests the hearing of a University of Arkansas student Oct. 12 at a UA student health fair. Students in the program within the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources and Communication Disorders spent several hours conducting screenings at the Arkansas Union. People were asked to raised one hand as they heard tones through headphones, and they were given an informational pamphlet if they had trouble hearing the sounds. The department operates the UA Speech and Hearing Clinic, which offers evaluation and treatment of communication disorders for children and adults.
