Where does the Council want to focus this year? What are the major issues?
John Murry explained the reason for the change in the personnel document. The Department Heads are working on it. He asked if the Council wanted to have input, be on the committee, or how they wanted to participate. This document includes the evaluation system used by the College. It was decided that Merry would attend all the meetings where all members are present along with one other member of the Council, which would rotate. There will be subcommittees as well that work on specific sections. A Council member will participate on each subcommittee to ensure faculty input.
John also brought us up to date on faculty hiring. There will be 11 tenure track positions and 3 clinical faculty hired this year to start next year.
Each representative will discuss with their department what the issues are for the faculty in their departments. These will be brought to the table at the next meeting.

2 year: Gary, Angie and Ellen
Meeting time was changed to 1:45 as Merry has a class from 12:30-1:20.
