College Council Information Available Online

A section has been added to the Web site of the College of Education and Health Professions with information about the new College Council, the representative body for the college faculty.
Visit http://coehp.uark.edu/5545.htm for information that includes a description of the College Council and its functions, makeup of the membership, and policies and procedures. Links on the right side of the page go to a list of members, a meeting schedule and minutes. There is also a list of all the college committees and their members.
The College Council replaces the former Faculty Council as a consultative and advisory body to Dean Greenwood. A task force of faculty members led by Barbara Hinton, associate dean for academic affairs, worked last year on a new governance structure that included the College Council. The faculty voted to approve the new structure at the fall faculty and staff meeting in August.
