What's on the Web: ADE Professional Development Provider Assurance Form

University of Arkansas faculty and staff members interested in offering professional development opportunities to Arkansas school teachers can now submit applications to an on-campus contact for review.
Nick Tschepikow, director of the Education Renewal Zone based in the College of Education and Health Professions, has been trained by the Arkansas Department of Education and is authorized to approve Arkansas Professional Development Provider assurance applications.
A five-page form can be downloaded at http://erz.uark.edu/5630.htm, filled out and returned by e-mail to Tschepikow at ntschepi@uark.edu. It requires information such as logistics of the event, a description of focus areas, presenter qualifications, and details about how the event meets National Staff Development Council standards relating to context, process and content.
Tschepikow, former principal at Ramay Junior High School in Fayetteville, was appointed in January to direct the Northwest Arkansas Education Renewal Zone. Its objective is to improve student achievement in schools in Washington, Benton and Madison counties by offering access to financial, cultural and technological support.
