Four members of the College of Education and Health Professions faculty were honored Feb. 21 at a faculty appreciation banquet hosted by the Student Alumni Board and Associated Student Government.
A committee of the Student Alumni Board worked with ASG to solicit nominations from students for outstanding teachers. The committee reported a record 130 nominations for 84 outstanding faculty members. Thirty-three of those were recognized at the ninth annual banquet held at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.
Those from the College of Education and Health Professions were Janet Forbess, instructor in the department of health science, kinesiology, recreation and dance; Aleza Greene, visiting assistant professor of curriculum and instruction; Carleton Holt, associate professor of educational leadership; and Susan Mayes, instructor in the department of health science, kinesiology, recreation and dance.
Each faculty member except Greene, who was not able to attend the banquet, is pictured with Andrew Endicott, left, president of the Student Alumni Board, and Nate Looney, president of the Associated Student Government.
