Two nursing student scholarships will be awarded through the Speaking of Women's Health Program at Washington Regional Medical Center. Deadline for application is Friday, May 16, 2008. Scholarships are open to any female pursuing a career in nursing. Applicants must have a current grade point average of at least 2.75 and be willing to work for a Washington Regional entity after graduation. Applicants in the final years of their education or training program will be given priority.

The scholarships will be awarded for the fall 2008 semester and selections will be based on academic record, written recommendations and references, summary of career goals and financial need. Recipients will be notified by June 30, and a presentation will be made at Washington Regional's Speaking of Women's Health Conference on Aug. 9 at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
