Seeking Out-of-State Licensure

The following instructions are for people who are licensed to teach in Arkansas through the University of Arkansas' teacher education program and who want to obtain a teaching position in a state other than Arkansas.

To receive a recommendation for teacher licensure in another state, send a packet containing the following information to Kathy Malstrom, Coordinator of Teacher Education, 117 Peabody Hall, University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, AR 72701:

• Out-of-state application from the state in which a position is sought
• Copy of Arkansas teaching license
• Copy of transcript

The packet will be reviewed and, if complete, will be sent to the appropriate receiving agency with a recommendation. Incomplete packets cannot be acted upon.
