To the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Education and Health Professions,
Thanks to all of you who have offered suggestions and comments about the search for a new dean of the College to succeed Dean Greenwood next July. I am pleased to report that Carolyn Allen, Dean of Libraries, has agreed to chair the search committee, and that the faculty members, staff, students, and community leaders listed below have agreed to serve on the committee.
Dean Allen and I will convene the group for its initial meeting as soon as possible. We will advertise the position and solicit applications and nominations prior to Thanksgiving, and I anticipate that the review of candidates will commence by late January.
I ask for your continued input and support in the search process, and I assure you that the College and its alumni and supporters will be kept informed as we move along.
