Old Business
Evaluation: Several people turned in evaluation comments. It was discussed that there were many who did not want to give input because they are not in favor of it. It was discussed that perhaps they did not understand it. It was suggested that someone meet with programs or program coordinators to explain the system so they are making an informed decision. Merry and Gary will work on a power point to present which will talk about: What's the problem with the system now? What's the payoff for doing this? How does it work?
The Dean discussed the timeline and it would not go into effect if it sailed through until Spring 2010.
Game Plan: Make a powerpoint and Merry and Gary will present first to RHRC and see how it goes.
Awards: Awards need to be reviewed. A new award for outstanding new faculty would be a good one to add as there are few junior faculty who receive awards.
Dean's Message: There has been no budget guidance to date. NCATE will extend for renewals and we have requested one. Heidi Stambuck is trying to get the Web site upgraded.
