Professional Biography:
Brandi Maples earned her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Arkansas in 2003 and has worked full-time for the College of Education and Health Professions since June 2002. Prior to becoming Director of Financial Affairs , Brandi served as Administrative Office Supervisor in the department of Vocational and Adult Education. She currently serves as a member of the college’s Administrative Council, Chair of the Support Services workgroup on the Technology Planning Task Force and Chair of the Council of Desk Administrators within the college.
Job Duties:
In her role as Director of Financial Affairs, Brandi serves as the chief accountant for the College of Education and Health Professions. Her primary responsibilities are to prepare and monitor the college’s budget and work closely with the college’s desk administrators who perform accounting duties within the departments. Brandi works under the direction of the Associate Dean for Administration and helps establish and implement financial policies for the college, enforce university policies and engage in financial planning. She is responsible for maintaining the college’s records for awarding and disbursing scholarship funds, overseeing the post award accounting on federal and state grants, and monitors expenses for the college’s endowed chairs. She also reviews college financial and personnel transactions at the dean’s level.
