Faculty: June 5 Deadline Set for John A. White Collaboration Award

Dear Deans, Directors, & Department Heads:
I hope this communication finds you well. This is a special invitation for you to nominate or encourage the nomination of faculty and students for the 2009 John A White Award for Faculty and Student Collaboration. This prestigious award is designed to highlight for first year students the academic research/projects that can be done via collaboration between faculty and students and to excite students about out of classroom experiences such as team research.
Please encourage your faculty to nominate their research or projects for this award. Proposals should be submitted on or before the Friday, June 5, 2009 deadline. Award recipients will receive a $1,000 grant as well as the presentation of their project at the 8th Annual Academic Convocation on Sunday, August 23, 2009 at 4:00 pm in Bud Walton Arena.
Academic Convocation will be followed by the Burger Bash Celebration, the location will be the Gardens (between Lot 56 & Bud Walton Arena) . We hope your faculty and their families will enjoy this opportunity to relax and greet our new students.
