University Awards

The College of Education and Health Professions is made up of outstanding faculty who should be recognized at the University level.

 

In April 2012, Gary Ritter, a professor of education and public policy and holder of the Endowed Chair in Education Policy in the department of education reform, was named the winner of the faculty service award from the Arkansas Alumni Association. Read more

 

In May 2011, John Pijanowski, associate professor of educational leadership, won the Charles and Nadine Baum Faculty Teaching Award. Read more

 

There are three University Awards for which the nomination period is approaching:

1. Alumni Association Faculty Distinguished Achievement Awards (3 awardees)

2. Charles and Nadine Baum Faculty Teaching Award (1 awardee)

3. Associated Student Government and Residents' Interhall Congress: University's Most Outstanding Faculty Member Awards (3 awardees)

 

There is a common application for the first two university awards (Alumni Association and Baum Award).  Details for this application can be found at http://provost.uark.edu/140517.pdf. Nominations are due in the office of the dean of the college or unit to which the nominee is assigned no later than Feb. 15 or the first working day following that date.
