Nursing School Engages Young Prospects

Students as young as 13 listen carefully as a nursing instructor describes how to measure a patient's vital signs and what the readings mean. They take turns pumping a sphygmomanometer to take a classmate's blood pressure and place their stethoscopes on a mannequin to hear the simulated breathing of a person with asthma, then one with clear lungs.
