Forbess Among Faculty Honored by Students

Three members of the College of Education and Health Professions faculty were honored March 9 at the 11th annual Faculty Appreciation Banquet at the Janelle Y. Hembree Alumni House.
University of Arkansas students nominate faculty members for the annual awards sponsored by the Associated Student Government, Residents' Interhall Congress and Student Alumni Board. This year, Marianne Neighbors, professor of nursing, Donald Wleklinski, advanced skills lab instructor in nursing, and Janet Forbess, instructor of physical education pedagogy, were honored.
More than 70 nominations were received, according to Andrew LeNarz, ASG vice president. Following a rating process, the 30 top nominees were awarded with three chosen as teacher of the year. That honor went to Bret Schulte, Roy Penney and John Stewart.###
