Scholarship support is a continuing need for the College of Education and Health Professions. More than 800 students applied for some type of scholarship assistance in the College of Education and Health Professions for the 2007-08 academic year. An endowed scholarship provides a permanent scholarship fund to support future students. It can be need- or merit-based, and may be renewable or non-renewable for an individual student, depending on your preference.
Please contact Jenelle Dean, Assistant Director of Development, at (479) 575-5117 or by e-mail at jmdean@uark.edu for more information on scholarship funding or with questions about how to establish a scholarship fund that will enable future students to achieve their dreams and follow in your footsteps to success in their careers and in life.
A named endowed professorship honors the donor and assists academic departments by providing the additional resources necessary to recruit and retain nationally recognized faculty. Income from an endowed professorship provides discretionary money that can be used to support research, conference travel, hiring of graduate assistants or a variety of other initiatives.
There are many other endowment opportunities available through the College of Education and Health Professions such as endowed graduate and undergraduate fellowships that assist in attracting the most outstanding students. Endowments can also support the college facilities through naming opportunities as well as support faculty, students and staff through contributions for awards recognizing outstanding achievements in the college.
For more information about establishing an endowment please contact Erin Hogue, Assistant Director of Development, at (479) 575-4420 or via e-mail at ethogue@uark.edu.
