The College of Education and Health Professions believes we are in the business of preparing professionals who touch people’s lives every day. Teachers, education administrators, counselors, nurses and health administrators are a vital part of any given successful community. Individuals, businesses and private foundations that recognize the importance of these professionals have become strong allies in our efforts to train the best and brightest available in each of their given fields.
The College of Education and Health Professions has enjoyed unprecedented support from alumni and friends around the state and nation. Thanks to the generosity of these groups, the college has secured more than $49 million in private support since July 1998. In fact, in December of 2004, the college received $20 million to endow a new academic department, the Department of Education Reform. This gift is the third largest single gift ever given to a college of education in the nation.
