- Where should I refer a student about course selection?
- The Boyer Center for Student Services (336 Graduate Education Building, http://boyer.uark.edu) advises undergraduate students until they have completed 45 hours, with the exception of students in pre-nursing, communication disorders and human resource development. The Boyer Center advises those students until they are admitted to the Eleanor Mann School of Nursing or the final two years of the communication disorders program. Students are assigned a faculty advisor one they have completed 45 hours.
- My research funds come from private sources but my colleague has public grants. Do we work with different accountants?
- Yes, Natalie Edmonson (nedmonde@uark.edu, 5-3596) and Carrie Whitmer (cwhitme@uark.edu, 5-4239) process accounts payable for state-funded projects while Kenetheia Reed (kreed@uark.edu, 5-8713) and Jackie Micheletto (jmichel@uark.edu, 5-3622) process accounts payable for private sources of funds, also called foundation funds.
- What is the process for arranging travel and what paperwork is necessary?

- How can I find out the procedure for changing an academic program?

- Where can I find data bout the college and about the university?

- Where can I look up phone numbers, e-mail addresses and office numbers for faculty and staff?
- The college's online directory is located at http://coehp.uark.edu/2464.htm. Clicking on the person's name takes the viewer to a page with the office number and more information, and clicking on the person's e-mail address creates an e-mail message. - What is the College Council?

- How do I get publicity for my research or an event?

- Where do I send a student who wants to petition for a grade change?
- The Office of Academic Affairs is located in 320 Graduate Education Building and is open weekdays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- How do I schedule a meeting with the dean?

- How do I reserve a room for a class or a one-time event?
- Nancy Milmon (nmilmon@uark.edu, 5-4212) oversees room reservations for the Graduate Education, Peabody Hall, and Ozark Hall buildings. She coordinates the preparation of the college's schedule of classes twice a year.
- Who do I send a new employee to in order to complete all the necessary paperwork?
- Sherrie Starkey (sstarke@uark.edu, 5-3620) handles personnel paperwork for the college, with the exception of employees of Intramural/Recreational Sports.
- How do I get a message running on the college's digital message boards?

- Each department has an administrative person who handles content changes to the Web. Heidi and Dylan can also help you with content changes, and Dylan handles structural changes to the Web.
- What scholarships does the college offer?

- How does the college communicate with alumni?

The college's annual magazine, the Colleague, is mailed each fall to selected alumni. An online version is also downloadable from the front page of the college Web site http://coehp.uark.edu. - What should I tell a student who inquires about financial aid?

- Who makes budgetary decisions in the college?
- Department heads submit annual budget requests that are reviewed by John Murry, associate dean for administration, and other members of the dean's staff.

- To whom do I report a problem in a classroom or office such as burned-out bulbs or trash left behind?
- Start with the administrative personnel in your department. John Murry (jmurry@uark.edu, 5-3082) and Brandi Maples (maples@uark.edu, 5-5116) manage the college's buildings and serve as liaisons with Facilities Management.

- Who handles graduation clearance for the college?
- That is part of Denise Bignar's duties. Denise (dbignar@uark.edu, 5-4205) also processes program modification petitions and college "D" grade petitions and verifies courses for athletic and veteran certification.
- How can I get involved in faculty service roles in the college and campus wide?
