Unified Science Education is an approach to teaching science and creating curricula that incorporates the seven dimensions of science literacy. It provides the K-14 learner with a liberal or general education in science by combining the many specialized sciences into a single program that traces the common elements of values, processes, and concepts (Showalter, 1973; 1974).
