Departments & Programs

The University of Arkansas College of Education and Health Professions comprises six academic divisions and an honors program. COEHP includes 23 research and service units, offers 50 degree programs from bachelor’s to doctorate, has 11 additional certificates, and employs more than 160 full-time faculty members. The professional education unit of the college has been a part of the University of Arkansas since 1871 when the land-grant institution was founded in Fayetteville. The college’s mission of preparing educators at all levels expanded over the years to include academic departments that focus on the health and well-being of Arkansans and people everywhere.

Occupational Therapy

The Department of Occupational Therapy offers an entry-level clinical doctorate. The degree is offered jointly by the College of Education and Health Professions of the University of Arkansas and the College of Health Professions of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

The department comprises seven independent academic programs that among them offer 15 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Programs range from adult learning, counselor education, higher education leadership to human resource management.
