Kate Mamiseishvili is the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs and professor of higher education in the College of Education and Health Professions. She joined the University of Arkansas in August 2008 after completing her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis at the University of Missouri. From 2013 to 2017, she served as the Head of the Department of Rehabilitation, Human Resources, and Communication Disorders. Kate received a 2010 Rising S.T.A.R. Award from the College of Education and Health Professions. She was also recognized with a 2012 S.T.A.R. Faculty Award as an outstanding all-around faculty member in the college. In 2013, Kate was one of the six faculty members at the University of Arkansas who were inducted in the Teaching Academy. She was also selected as the 2013-2014 Southeastern Conference (SEC) Academic Leadership Development Program Fellow. Her primary research interests focus on the productivity, job satisfaction, and work life issues of foreign-born faculty in the United States.
