Information Technology Systems Help Desk
The best way to receive support or request additional resources in the College of Education and Health Professions is by using the automated online ticketing system Information Technology Systems Help Desk (help.uark.edu). Filling out a ticket here allows the Technology Services team to track and respond quickly to all requests. In case of an emergency call (479) 575-6262.
Web-Based Instructional Services
Courseval is the end-of-course assessment tool used by the University for student evaluations of classes and faculty.
Echo360 Lecture Capture
Echo360 can be used to record class sessions or to create presentations that can be published to a Blackboard Learn course. Echo360 records audio and video, performs screen captures, and allows you to stream media.
Faculty and Tech Partners can log into the ESS at https://capture.uark.edu:8443/ess/app.
Echo360 and Echo Personal Capture are fully site-licensed by the University of Arkansas and are free to all UARK users. Depending on the distribution options chosen by the content creator, guests and members of the general public can also view content created with Echo360 for free.
LifeSize / Clearsea Video Conferences
Videoconferencing can be used to record lectures, collaborate with students or researchers at a distance, conduct virtual field trips, or hold classes or office hours when physical attendance is not possible.
Faculty, staff and students can initiate, conduct or participate in standard or high-definition videoconferences at no cost. Users can participate in one-to-one or one-to-many videoconferences from a desktop or mobile device, in permanent room setups or elsewhere on campus using a portable endpoint. During a videoconference, participants can collaborate by submitting live comments for text discussion.
Mobile and desktop access for iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows or Mac users is available by downloading ClearSea and requesting an account.
Qualtrics Survey Software
Qualtrics, the online survey tool supported by IT Services, is now available through an unlimited campuswide site license. Students, faculty and staff who require an online survey tool for research or administrative projects can find more information the ITS Surveys page.
Through the Secure Reporting Environment (SRE), the university provides secure and direct access to data sources for personnel with a demonstrated need while restricting the storage of sensitive data from residing on individual desktops.
Authorized personnel are able to remotely access information, including ad hoc queries, for database investigations and reports through the use of the SRE.
