Matthew is a triple alumnus of the University of Arkansas. As an undergraduate, he was awarded an Honors College Fellowship and served as an Honors College Ambassador. He received a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations & European Studies Magna Cum Laude and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 2015. He then earned a Master of Arts in Political Science with a concentration in Comparative Politics in 2017.
As a former Honors student, Matthew is truly passionate about the success of the students in the College of Education & Health Professions Honors Program and has personally experienced many of the challenges that Honors students face. By working closely with faculty and staff in COEHP and across campus, he hopes to ensure that COEHP Honors students are surrounded by support when they need it. Students are always welcome to call, email, or set up an appointment to meet with him. He also serves as the academic advisor for all first year Honors students in COEHP, except for those majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders.
Matthew is originally from Florida but spent many years in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, traveling, going to Razorback games, and attending concerts.
