Staff Council

Leslie Shaw.
The College of Education and Health Professions Staff Council serves as a voice and a resource for staff across the college. Our purpose is to strengthen the staff experience by fostering connection, supporting professional growth, recognizing outstanding contributions, and creating opportunities for staff to be heard and engaged.
In partnership with the dean and college leadership, the Staff Council provides a meaningful channel for staff to share ideas, raise concerns and contribute to conversations that shape our workplace and campus community. Through collaboration, recognition and professional development, we work to empower staff and foster a culture where every COEHP staff member feels valued, connected and supported.
The Staff Council is composed of seven elected staff members, including a chair and chair-elect, who represent the diverse perspectives and experiences of staff throughout the college. The chief of staff to the dean and the assistant director for constituent relations serve as ex-officio members. Elected members serve staggered two-year terms, with elections held annually among college staff.
